Last week in Dallas, we launched our new Unplugged: After Hours networking series with a laid-back evening meetup at the Our Serviceworks (OSW) warehouse. Led by Techdinamics' Nathan Goobie and OSW's hosts Michelle Harris, President & CEO, and Cindy Ogden, VP of Operations, the event combined a behind-the-scenes tour of the warehouse with a fireside chat panel, giving attendees a unique glimpse into the workings of a modern 3PL operation and the technology that powers it.
The group, made up of 3PL representatives from the Dallas area, had the chance to explore the OSW facility, checking out operations such as staging at docks, packing stations, and sustainability initiatives, including motion detector lighting and their comprehensive recycling efforts.
Following the tour, the fireside chat panel, which ran for nearly an hour, touched on key industry topics like data analytics, carrier performance, customer billing, and leveraging AI to optimize transit times. Attendees were particularly interested in how OSW is utilizing Techdinamics' technology to make better operational decisions.
“It turned into a lively conversation with attendees asking deep questions about their own operational challenges and sharing insights on how technology can help,” Nathan said. "Many stayed chatting past when the event wrapped up around 6:30 to 7 PM—I think that’s a great sign of the value they found.”
This first Unplugged: After Hours event set the stage for future meetups designed to encourage peer connections and foster deeper industry discussions in a relaxed, friendly setting. Nathan wrapped up by saying, “We see this as just the beginning of a series that will bring together the logistics community to share, grow, and innovate.”
