The 2026 IWLA Convention & Expo has officially wrapped. Held March 28–31 in San Antonio, Texas, the event brought together warehouse logistics leaders from across North America, featuring over 80 exhibitors and more than 25 speakers across warehouse logistics, supply chain, and technology.
The Techdinamics team was on-site throughout the event, and here’s a recap for warehouse operators, 3PL providers, and supply chain technology leaders looking to learn the key moments from IWLA 2026.
A Sunset with a View at Fortaleza
On Saturday, before the convention officially started, we hosted an exclusive invite-only event for about 40 industry members at Fortaleza, a private luxury estate in Cross Mountain. The property sits on three acres at the top of a hill, with views of the country stretching out below. The party was set at sunset, so the sky provided a scenic backdrop for group shots and selfies.
Guests enjoyed a Texas BBQ spread from Smokey Mo's TX BBQ, featuring brisket, sausage, and turkey, along with classic sides like mac and cheese, pinto beans, and coleslaw. Three industry-themed cocktails were on offer: the Dockside Margarita, the Last Mile Mule, and the Shipper's Old Fashioned. Beer and Jell-O shots rounded out the bar (and were very popular!).
Sunday at the Golf Classic
The IWLA Golf Classic followed on Sunday morning at the La Cantera resort course. The Golf Classic is a must for attendees: business conversations happen naturally out there.
Techdinamics was once again a sponsor, so we had the chance to add our stamp to the morning. Chair massages from licensed therapists through Zeel were set up at our hole, so golfers could take a quick break right there on the course. We also ran a rangefinder giveaway that was won by lucky golfer Cameron Peel.
The Expo Floor: Booth 306
During the main convention days, Booth 306 served as Techdinamics’ hub on the expo floor and saw strong traffic throughout the event. Attendees stopped by to learn how we continue to innovate with techOMS and techSHIP. We also featured a giveaway for AirPods; the winner is Ian Blanchard. (Congrats Ian! Be sure to reach out to our team so we can get your prize to you.)
Key Trends from IWLA 2026: AI, Marketing, and Warehouse Strategy
IWLA is an event where people genuinely know each other and there is a strong sense of community across the industry. Key themes included AI adoption in warehouse operations, evolving marketing strategies, and the growing importance of integrated supply chain technology.
The "Marketing Possible" session by Kara Smith Brown highlighted how marketing is evolving and how AI is changing the way the industry communicates, while "AI Strategies for Warehouse Leaders" by Angela Czajkowski dealt with how to approach AI strategically and how to organize internal processes so it works.
The convention also made room for conversations that don't always get enough space: the Women of Warehousing panel and the Progressive Networking session dedicated to women in the industry, held on the patio, both sparked meaningful conversations.
Former CIA Chief of Disguise Jonna Mendez closed out the event with a general session that drew from her background in intelligence work. Kudos to the organization for leaning into the spies and Casino Royale theme throughout the convention. It added a distinctive atmosphere.
